11 Months
Huge news for this month!! Orrin is finally crawling! It was pretty funny because he decided to crawl forward for the first time at a friend's house with no one really paying much attention to him. It was only a few steps, though. He gets a little farther every day - and animals (and their water bowls) are proving to be the best motivation to get him moving.
He is also trying his very hardest to pull up on things or people (or dogs I guess). So far he has only gotten up to his knees but he is working on it.
I'm not sure how much else is new as all his energy over the last couple weeks has been spent on the steps leading up to crawling. He doesn't say any new words, but his babbling is sounding more and more like real "talking". And he certainly knows what he is saying.
He is getting much more of an attitude though! He loves to throw his pacifier or whatever else is around. The best is when he dramatically pulls it out of his mouth to throw it. Its funny, except it is usually followed by a long, drawn out screaming tantrum. Scott and I are still figuring out how to handle those. He is definitely a feisty little kid! And very independent. He does not really like to be held, or restrained in any way. This is making shopping with him a lot more difficult. And long car rides are getting tougher.
He loves this little pool. Especially with his favorite toys - a spatula and empty plastic containers.
Someone found a pen.
Modeling his new shark towel. So here is his Justin Bieber impersonation. Time for a haircut.
I bravely attempted to cut it myself, with some success. Although I barely trimmed it, so it pretty much needs to be cut again already. But I'm getting my practice in before he is old enough to complain!
Orrin still doesn't like grass, and tries as hard as he can to lift both legs up off the ground.
Checking out the grass/flowers
Quite possibly my favorite picture ever.
Bathtime after the photo shoot. Orrin enjoyed throwing the toys out one by one, and is wondering why no one is putting them back.
Next up: One year!
